I've been steadily downloading the pre-load since 5.30 am.
it's not 8.20 and I'm just over half-way through.
I've got a 750Kbs bband connection, so that'll give you an idea as to
how long it'll take and how big it is.
I've been averaging around 90KBs....
Big.

Mark,
Far be it for *me* to lecture anyone on newsgroup etiquette but we
already have enough 'release date for half-life2' and 'preload' threads.
Just try to keep them together and not start new threads pretty please.

Strider,
Far be it for *me* to lecture anyone on newsgroup etiquette but at least try
and let *one* thread go by without you having a say in it;)

My connection is five megabits. I never even consider the size of files
when I download them.

I believe mine is even bigger, but it takes longer to get it up. Who on earth brought up the subject
of flags anyway?

I wonder if he's compensating for something?
I have a 1.5mbit connection to make up for my impossibly small penis.

Is your connection 5mbit's?
Really, I've never heard you say that before. Boy that's fast, I bet you
must work very hard in order to pay for it!

the same everybody else is planning - wait for the release and
IMMIDIATELY play ^_^ (as opposed to waiting for the crappy postal
service to deliver it "sometime" after release)

So all these people counting off the precentage points waiting for the
preload to finish, is in fact eagerly awaiting being able to wait once
more?
