My Purchased copy of HL Adrenaline Pack's Disk 1 (the Half
life GOY edition) was badly scratched and sports an unusable image
(funny enough, it installs, misses a few images but when I try to run
HL -- BOOM). Anyway, where can I find an image of HL AP D1? If anyone
who has the disk can make an image of it I would love to pull it from
their server. I can provide proof of purchase (Namely a picture of the
CD and case) so that people won't think I am trying to steal the
software...

Thanks, Amir

You should contact sierra and get them to send you a replacement disk.

1. If by picture you mean "image" than it would be nice :-)

2. And a reply to the kind gent who suggested I buy another one... If
the Jag is scratched and dinged, I can take it to the shop and have it
fixed, at my expense. I don't buy a new one...

When I bought HL I did not pay just for the media (which is a few
cents) I paid for the right to use the software -- this is the real
cost of the product. By scratching the disk, I did not revoke my right
to use the software, so by downloading an image or by having Sierra
send me a replacement disk I am simply getting back what is lawfully
mine anyway.

Was the disk scratched when you purchased it?  If not, then then onus is on
you, if you weren't ever able to read/install the disk then the onus would
then be on the place where you bought the cd, then you can then take it back
to them.  (I'm basing my theory on the law in the UK, it might be different
outside the UK).
