There have recently been posts about similar subjects but none really helped
me, so I'm going to ask.  I had a LAN party and was hosting a LAN listen
server on my computer.  It showed up correctly and the people on the LAN
could join.  However, people from the internet started joining.  I tried to
repeat this after the LAN party, and had my friend try to connect to my home
LAN from the internet but it didn't work, so I think it might be a bug.  But
if it isn't, how do you set it up so people from outside the LAN can join
LAN games?  (Note: I have seen solutions before involving 2 NICs but I only
have one)

Oh yeah, this is Counter-Strike.  Sorry about that.

start up your LAN server.. and allow all LAN clients to connect ... then
set sv_lan 0 in the console of the server... this will allow internet
players to connect.  Internet players cannot connect to a LAN server..
setting sv_lan 0 will turn it into an internet server.

From what I have heard, there is a setting in your listenserver.cfg
called sv_lan 0 or 1
If you enable it then it's for LAN only but disabling it will allow
others who can see your server to connect.
I think it was also said that you enable it, let LAN users in then
disable to let Internet users in.

Of course you would need your Internet connection open and available.

Wait until greater minds can explain it better.
