Which video card is better?

I'm upgrading my card for Doom 3 and HL2 and having a hard time deciding
between these 2 cards for the same price......ATI Radeon 9600 (not SE) 256
MB or a GeForce FX 5700LE 256MB

Which is better for the same price?

I think you should stay clear of the LE - its a reduced bandwidth card.
The 9600 will definitely perform better for HL2 and since the OpenGL
driver is improving with ATI you should get decent performance in D3.

or get the X800 with that you'll see beautiful graphics with all settings
turned up.

You listed two cards that are also about neck n neck in performance as
well as price.
