Frode - 25 Jun 2004 17:45 GMT " In an interview on Homelan I said we were planning on delivering the game to Sierra in August, and subsequently I've been bombarded with emails asking me if that is accurate.
Yep, to the best of our admittedly weak planning abilities, we are looking at August."

Not like Sierra's had anything to do with it except wait for Valve. Now some other Vivendi person gets to do the same instead.

Have you seen all of these things for Half-Life 2?
So, why the comparison that just won't seem to die?

I mean, it's not like there's a playable alpha available on the net of HL2 that the paranoid can have a look at to confirm the game is real. Oh wait, there is. Blimey.
DNF on the other hand? Well, they do have that very nice 5ish year old screenshot of the dude by the watertower.

This is also an implicit statement I am convinced it IS real and actually not that far from completion. I adopted the iD stance for them "It's done when it's done!", and I won't worry about it. Same for Doom3, which I will also buy as soon as it's on the shelf. And the answer to the questions is too obvious. Of course we've seen solid proof HL2 is 'being done and workable'. It's not vaporware. McG.

Ok, is anyone here interested in Sims 2 when it comes out in September? I must admit The Sims has long been a guilty pleasure of mine... (it's what I use for "down time" in between more hard-core gaming sessions...)

(I've always been a sucker for "sandbox" games, though, like SimCity or an old Atari 8-bit game called "Snowball", where all you did was make snowballs.)

HLBlueShift - 26 Jun 2004 23:33 GMT Theme park is a weakness of mine. Though it takes a lot of screwing around to work right,

Though I intend to wave it underneath my girlfriend's nose, then toss it over to her computer thus luring her away from the TV. Finally I get to watch movies again!
