I had the odd compulsion to download the Prince Of Persia sound track
off Supranova. It reminds me how much I love the game and also
illustrates how important a thought-about soundtrack can improve and
accentuate a great game.

Try it.

P.S The Freedom Fighters soundtrack is also excellent.

Sara, I convinced Paul to try the demo and I felt really pleased I had
because by my scoring it's the best game of 2003.

Please try it, make me a happy man. Hell, buy the game. Great games like
this deserve our cash.

Good luck and have great fun with the demo. Oh, and (although I've
noticed you around) welcome to AGHL.

Well, the PoP demo was on the same magazine cover as the Far Cry demo, but yes,
you and Neil had some influence :)  Subsequently I bought the game, and it's
great.  Mind you, at ?9.99 from Play.com, I didn't need much convincing :)

Indeed.  You're right about the soundtrack too, it's very good.  My all-time
favourites are still Grim Fandango and Mafia, though.

Oh, and I'm stuck in PoP :(
(bloomin' save-point system...)

I've just being battering poor Neil on the phone and he advocated the
Mafia soundtrack too.

Keep going, it get's better and better. Mind, I thought the ending could
have been tougher.

It's a bit harsh sometimes.

Wow, you're downloading so fast it's causing an interrupt malfunction in
your keyboard buffer!

Drat and double-drat Stryder.
Took me three days to download POP demo and then it did'nt support the
Radeon 7000 card!
(retreats in tears).

Ah, dry those eyes...  you're going to need a decent card for the new
games like Far Cry, HL2, Stalker and certainly Thief... start saving
now!

And I only upgraded a few months ago!

You upgraded and bought a card that's over 2 years old?!   I hope you
didn't buy it from PC World on the advice of some spotty little sales
assistant who'd been told to parrot all that crap on the box about it
being "Blisteringly fast" etc etc :)

I was financially 'embarrassed' at the time Ben ;-) But they assured me that
it would handle Thief II and HL II.

They did?  that's quite a rash conclusion to jump to!   Sure it meets
the official minimum specs for HL2 (at least from pre-code-theft
anyway).. but not sure whether they should really say it would
definitely handle an unreleased game.. Time will tell I guess :)

Good move - you won't be disappointed.

Well, she didn't reply to Firewater's question the other day, but my
investigative tendencies lead me to the conclusion that Sara is Miss
Calm, returned to us with a new name and email address, but the same
infatuation with the Thief series and Deus Ex...

If so, welcome back. If not, welcome anyway :)

And, if you like sneaking games, have you tried Far Cry yet?

:D
