I tried to start up HL2 through steam, of course, in offline mode. It said that offline mode could not be started when steam was offline. Just thought that'd be nice to pass on. Irony... With a damned dial-up connection, one telephone line available between the PC and the telephone, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THE ****ONLINE**** MODE? Keep the one and only phone line tied up all day playing a goddamned GAME? Get a clue. Make sure you click for saving your password. Then all you have to do is press "Start in offlinemode" when Steam complains that it can't find an internett connection. I thought this was common knowledge by now......
