all,
I bought, installed, played and deinstalled HL2. At the time I created a
Steam account / password. I used some yahoo account for regististration
(for spam collection) .. but I have since deleted that yahoo email account.
Today - I bought Episode 1. I tried to used my Steam account - but no
password, and no email address ... no luck. I even tried using my key from
HL2 - but it keeps wanting to email my password to my dead email address (i
don't even remember what it was) ... and I cannot get access to it.
So - I created a new Steam account for the HL2 - Episode 1....but I cannot
get into my other Steam account that has my original HL2 CD associated with
it.

Don't use junk email addresses for software you are going to have to
authorise in future.

Contact Valve. They should let you change account details as you have the
original HL2 CD and CD code to prove you own it. As Andrew says dont use a
junk e-mail address next time.
