Pressing 'E' no only picks up objects but also opens doors, activates switches and interacts with people. If he can't pick up objects because 'E' is not bound anymore, he would be reporting these other issues as well. Are you Tony? No, It turns out I was trying to pick up stuff that wasn't pickup-able. At least not without the gravity gun. I was just in that room with the teeter-totter thing, and all the walk-throughs talked about placing bricks on it to tilt it up. I found nothing in the room I could pick up, so I tilted it with my own weight and ran and jumped across instead.
