Stuck on Laser Tripwires

Help!

I'm near the end, Chapter 11, Follow Freeman, where I'm in the room,
standing on the metal platform and can't seem to jump over the lasers.
I always trip them and I've been stuck here for days. Any suggestions?

There's lots of boxes and shelfs etc that are taller than the height of
the lasers, aren't there? Wonder what the view is like from up there
;-)
