I had gotten through several levels of HL2 when I had  a complete system
crash and had to reinstall the operating system in my computer. Because of
this I lost my saved files and had to start the game over. Not wanting to
take the time to play the game at the normal pace because of wading through
loading and loading and loading, I decieded to use cheats to speed through
and get back to my form spot before the crash.

I used cheats - god, buddha, etc. Now when I'm back to the original level, I
can't cancell the cheats. I tried god no, no god, off god, etc. How do I
return to the defalts?

Thanx

I believe that using :
sv_cheats 0
in the console would de-activate the cheats...

Set sv_cheats 0 in the console.  Save and reload.

typing sv_cheats 0/1 just disables/enables you to enter cheats IIRC.
turn cheats on, then type god again and it should echo "Godmode OFF" of
something like that. Hope that helps.
