Trickery.

Here's my favorite.  Behind the bank and across the street is an alley that
leads to an elevated platform.  It's far enough off the street that the Law
won't persue you there.  Near the beginning of the mission, just after
Hilary leaves with the cab, I run to the Star Fish mansion and grab the Sea
Sparrow behind it.  (Go get some other copter, if you haven't gathered
enough hidden packages yet.)  I take the copter to that elevated platform
behind the bank, land, get in and out at least 3 times (to ensure it won't
vanish as soon as I walk away), and then go do The Job.  As soon as I have
control back outside, I beat it for the copter, take off, and hit the
various copter-accessible bribes on that island.  Then I go back for Phil
and Cam (although I think Cam can die without ending the mission), and drive
back to Cam's to finish the mission.  (Watch it: you may have no stars, but
any residual law officers near the bank WILL still shoot yer a.s -- but
they're easy to avoid or take care of.)

Completed this mission last night but on one attempt I walked out of the
club to get in the taxi, upon which Cam and Phil started beating the crap
out of Hilary till he was dead and I get the message "Mission Failed Hilary
is dead".

Alright, here we go.

Once out of the taxi, I get into another car and head for the Cheetah behind
the Police station in Little Havana. On the north side of the bank is a small
ramp. I park the Cheetah there and get in and out of it three times to prevent
it from disappearing. Now enter the pink blip and start the robbery.

Having a bazooka or a mini gun when you exit the bank is rather essential, I
think. ASAP, blow up the SWAT cars and then dash for the Cheetah. You should be
able to make it to the Pay'n'Spray in such a fast car. Once you've lost your
wanted level, go back and pick up Hillary. Never mind Cam! He's fat and lazy
and refuses to run during the entire job, so the arrogant bastard deserves to
be left behind. Besides, there's only one passenger seat in the Cheetah.

Careful if there are any SWATs left, because they'll still fire at you. Now go
the garage and end the mission.
