I had heard sometime ago that Walmart sold toned down
versions of games that are very violent or that had a lot of
adult content.  Does anyone know if this is the case with
Vice City?  I know that this sounds kind of ridiculous but
if any retailer could pull something like that off it would
be them.  I recently picked up a copy there but haven't
opened it yet.  I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't
getting something with things missing.

Wal-Mart does require certain manufactures of products to modify those
products to fit their "family" oriented standards, if they want to be able
to sell them in Wal-Mart.
Odd that this holiday season, i saw yet again, those wonderful hook sales
such as $100 27" TV's and other ones that guarantee people show up 3 hours
before the stores open. The fights usually start 1 hour before the doors
open, and the real circus after that.
Aint that a kick in the pants....
Anyway Marc, it may have the blood taken out of it, i thought the Aussie
version got that cut, and i thought something else. With all the nasty
things you can do in such an open ended game, you would have to take out all
vehicles and weapons to make it a "family" type game. If youre not
satisfied, return it and then smash a window, knock over an old lady, and
give them 50 bucks for a DVD player.
