I'm sure we all agree that VC has a great soundtrack, but what other 80's
songs would everyone have liked to have seen that didn't actually make it on
to the game? (Bearing in mind they should be 1980-86 as '86 is the year the
game is set.)

Here are some of mine:

Kajagoogoo - Too Shy
Simple Minds - Promised you a miracle
Paul Hardcastle - 19
Nik Kershaw - The Riddle

All would have sounded ace in the soundtrack!

Yeah that tune should have been used.

Maybe an anti war song is a bit too contravercial at the moment tho ?

In the Dark by Billy Squire
Der Kommisar by ?
Fantasy by Aldo Nova
Bette Davis Eyes

Yep, Der Komissar was written and performed by Falco, but it was FIRST
performed by After The Fire.   Great f'ing song!

Isn't there one of the Miami Vice tunes in there? Crockett's Theme
maybe?

Precisely, mate. Jan Hammer's "Crockett's Theme" is played on Emotion 98.3.

One mentioned A-ha. This was exactly what I miss the most, given that A-Ha was
possibly THE biggest band of the 80's. Also, how about some Duran Duran? They
were MASSIVE in the 80s. I can imagine how it would be like to rocket down the
western mainland's long straight listening to A-Ha's "Take on me" or Duran
Duran's "Girls on film". Aaaaaaaaah!

More 80's songs that should have been in the VC soundtrack, as I think they
were 80's MAJORs:
Alphaville - Sensations
Baltimora - Tarzan Boy
Bananarama - Nathan Jones
The Bangles - Walk like an Egyptian
Belouis Some - Imagination
Billy Idol - Don't need a gun
Billy Ocean - Get outta my dreams, get into my car
Black - Everything's coming up roses
Bobby McFerrin - Don't worry, be happy
Bonnie Tyler - Sally comes around
Boris Gardiner - I wanna wake up with you
Break Machine - Steet dance
Britney Spears - Oops, I did it again

Oh boy, this list is getting longer than I thought ... however, this is a
start. All of these songs should have been in VC, and I do believe all of them
were released before 1986. I do understand, though,  that Rockstar would always
have to face a problem of narrowing down the selection. However, A-Ha and Duran
Duran were both essential 80's bands, and should never have been left out of
VC, methinks.

P.S.
(Just kidding about Britney ;-).

Baldrick

Don't Worry, be happy? That would have sounded ace as you were doing drive
by shooting down Miami Beach front! Ha ha...

I think she was a tickeling sensation in her daddy's trunks.

Close but no cigar. Had to weed out all non 80's, obviously. :-)
