The critics of GTA always bring up the notion that it's a game where you
beat and kill hookers. I think that's a very unfair assessment of the game.
Does anyone here actually beat and kill the hookers? I've beaten and killed
only a few, and that was because I needed the money I'd just paid them for
their services...

The hooker were more prominent in GTA 3 than in VC. A critic hasn't played
the game if they still make these claims about VC. VC gets the pron
industry instead :)

i tend to park next to cliffs so they fall off when they get out...
sometimes it works and sometimes they mysteriously get out on the driver's
side instead
however... i don't kill nearly as many prostitutes as i do people walking on
sidewalks and gang members and police and all those other moving targets
they should all be happy though... at least they get to be a part of the fun
as opposed to getting deleted in the next memory buffer overload
and if the critics are looking to complain about shooting a specific portion
of gta's population... what about the little old ladies?

I once tried to park a hooker in a garage so she'd be there when I
reloaded... But it didn't work... :(

I love killing cops... they get on my f.cking nerves... even if I just
completed a mission and some piece of sh.t pig is chasing me with a
nightstick I just gotta smoke his a.s even if it earns me 2 stars...
Lucky for me I can kill a whole bunch of cops and get a whole bunch of
stars and still find a way to get free... ;)

that's one of the things i've always loved about gta3... if you're in a car
and aim your gun out the window the cops won't open the car door on that
side... this makes it so much easier to get away when you're surrounded... i
don't think it works on vc though
and if you don't mind cheating... there's the code that gives you two
stars... just in case you're too low on ammo to get all six stars and then
manage to get rid of them without running out
but it would be nice to be able to hide somewhere and lose the stars fairly
quickly as long as the cops don't find you... that would have made vc's
junkyard and phil's place more useful

Yeah my brother, who's a captain in the army, but ironically into
video games, gave me the same line... He's a moralist piece of sh.t,
so I told him you only kill the hookers when they get in the way of
your car... ;)

Lol...
I like punching the beach bunnies in the head on the dock of Vercetti
Mansion. It's funny watching them run around, bumping into things, and
eventually plunge into the water... Lol...

Sure it's an unfair assessment simply because you have a choice. The
game allows you to but you don't have to (nor is it even suggested that
you do so.) It's not essential to playing/enjoying/completeing the game.
It's up to the individual. It never entered my mind to do so.
IMO, it would be neat if you kill one the rest should refuse you their
services. Or if they came after you... a horde of tooled up hookers
chasing you down the sidewalk....girrrl power indeed. And why aren't
there men offering their companionship? Surely there are some chaps
playing vc who have different tastes. Is this unacceptabel
discrimination? If a player wants to take a baseball bat to a male pro
shouldn't he be able to? Perhaps R* should begin looking at developing a
Gta Bangkok...
Then again I've always had my doubts about El Burro...

That's strange. I've heard the same critique of this game from people as
well. I mean, really, that's such a small part of this game it's hardly
even on the map. Of all the things they could choose to complain about,
somehow, being able to kill hookers seems to be their biggest concern...
(Except in Australia, where they don't have any hookers. Damn censors.)
Lester Horwinkle - 31 Oct 2003 02:01 GMT
I spend lots of time doing nothing but killing hookers.
In GTA3, just shoot 'em or run 'em down.
In VC, f.ck 'em, shoot 'em, get yer money out.
I'm a sick bastard.
