This mission SUCKS!!! WTF is up with this mission??? I get in the boat, I
concentrate on protecting Kim, and Derrick dies before the bridge and
copter, I concentrate on protecting Derrick, and Kim dies before I get to
the bridge and copter... I try to divide the protection, and after I shoot
down the copter an enemy boat gets behind Kim's boat so either I blow it and
Kim to bits, or the enemy kills Kim before I can regain control of the boat,
maneuver around Kim's boat and kill the enemy. I've tried this f.cking
mission 15 times and I can't pass it!!!! WTF??????

P.S.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance!

I don't think there's a great secret except don't panic. don't protect
Derrick, unless you get surrounded. I think this is one of those where
you try target people rather than machines.

After a hard time the first time i tried it I also did it a couple of
other times and found it relatively easy.

Happens to me all the time. I find some missions murderously hard, do them over and over thinking I'll
never finish the damn thing, then on the very next run I complete the mission with no problems at all.
And I usually have no idea what I did right that time.

I'd put the race with Hillary in VC as an example, but I know winning that one depended a little too much
on being lucky.

Yup... That's a huge flaw in this game. Just what you said- I've been
trying this mission at least 25 times now.... and all of a sudden, after the
RPG, I shoot the helicopter, and with my machine gun shoot just one boat of
baddies and I'm clear... WTF??? Of the few times I've gotten to the point
where I shoot down the copter, there are always about 4 or 5 boats with guys
in them that I have to take care of... and invariably, even though my
machine gun lock is on the guy, the shot hits the magical fuel tanks in his
body and makes his boat blow up and no matter how far away I am, I get the
slo-motion black & white screen of death. Now all of a sudden, one copter
shot, one boat shot??? That's lame....
