Buckaroo Banzai - 07 Aug 2008 04:15 GMT I miss GTA: SA... What can I say? I'm on Jerry's mission where I have to protect the mafia dude, by sniping, then charging to the rescue, or I can do the Derrick boat chase... they both suck compared to SA missions. Anyway... boo hoo, SA fanboy...

Go land the jumbo jet on Mt.Chilliad. Get in the camper. The drive east off the mountain. Bounce off a couple cliffs. Then jump out of the camper before it explodes and deploy parachute. Land on roadway. Return to airport.
Repeat as necessary Buckaroo.
On a similar note. I played the hell out of Burnout Paradise City (great game!) while waiting for GTA4, until i finally couldn't find anything else new or exciting to do. Well, Criterion said they were going to eventually add on to the game and it's now official. New vehicles, new island, and a day/night cycle(?) for downloadable content. I'll certainly dump some quid for that !
So there's hope yet for those getting bored with the lack of "accessories" in GTA4, myself included. Don't need another island, but any other toys or missions R* offers i'll gladly pay for. Love to see that arcade in Algonquin turned into a real arcade the same way you could play at the casinos or betting parlors. Imagine going into it and playing the top down GTA series inside of GTA4 !!
I fired up Paradise City after the update since i haven't played it since early April, and got a nice surprise.. Despite the great graphics, GTA4 is far more vibrant city, far more detailed, much more believable, and will always offer more than Paradise City.
Makes me want to go blow up hotdog carts !

Would that I could GM.... I gave my PS2 and all my games to my nephew when I bought my PS3, since it wasn't backwards compatible.

And another thing that bugs me about IV- WTF is with all these people calling me when I'm trying to go somewhere or do something? And I can't refuse or else I get the "thumbs down".... Lame. And if I want to eliminate that, I have to do it at the beginning of my play, every time, or every time I finish a mission! sh.t, I want to be able to turn that sh.t *OFF* Since when did GTA become about *responsibility*?????
P.S. I got the 40gb PS3 which is not backwards compatible, so I gave my PS2 and all of my games to my nephew.

It is kind of interesting at first, but it gets old after a while. I finally just settled on making nice with Dwayne, and don't regret it. It reminds me of San Andreas' muscle/fat/health crap.
Anssi Saari - 11 Aug 2008 15:20 GMT > It reminds me of San Andreas' muscle/fat/health crap. Yeah, that was really a wasted opportunity. There should've been a reward for maxing out your strength and stamina or learning the moves, but there wasn't really. So instead you can just forget the gym and do the burglaries to get infinite sprint and that's that.
Something like learnable quick unarmed or melee kills would've been nice, like decapitations with the Katana if you "learn the moves". Why put in the "learn new moves" in all gyms when melee was still a boring spankfest.

I suppose it's annoying, but the relationships don't seem to matter much or it seems you have to be very active even if your relationship is at 100%. I tried a couple of times to get some medical help from Carmen over the phone, she said to put pressure on any wounds and Nico said he was feeling better already, but his health stayed the same... Oh well.
> P.S. I got the 40gb PS3 which is not backwards compatible, so I gave my PS2 > and all of my games to my nephew. How does this follow? I could understand giving the PS2 away if the PS3 were compatible...

Apparently this is a flaw. when the game got updated I expected it to be these issues that were fixed instead of online crap.

Well, I knew my nephew liked video games, but he couldn't afford a system of his own and I didn't think I'd be wanting to play my PS2 games anymore, so I did the cool Uncle thing and gave them to him.

Check the settings, I seem to recall an option to turn them off with the warning that you may miss some story developments if you do so.

Everyone should learn some responsibility, it will do you good. You'll appreciate it in the long run.
