This is a cross post to PS groups.  Why the heck was Red Faction able to do
what no game since has been able to do?  Why isn't *every* PS3 game able to
fully map button commands to the user's preference???  PS2 Red Faction could
do it, so why isn't this standard by now???  I'm a lefty and it pisses me
off that I can't customize my controls.....

There are standard layouts most of the time for different types of games:
driving, FPS, 3rd person shooter, etc.

Sometimes companies try to put a different spin on it and think they are
advancing the controls, but only help in making a game unplayable.

While i agree there should be some room for improvement, it should come with
custom settings in mind, not just the developers idea of cooler than
'standard' controls.

However, it's obvious that lefties are the minority there. Sorry from one
lefty to another.
