Ya know, I never understood the appeal of *online* play... ever since I've
tried it, it sucks.  Either you encounter some weirdo that can kill you with
one shot, or you encounter someone that gives you a good run for your money
for 3 minutes, and then quits.  As far as I'm concerned, I'll take a comp
over a douche any day of the week....

I agree. It does add to some games appeal, and I guess if you're
sociable and into team things that's okay too. Thing is I have heard
people say stuff like "If they don't have a mike they aren't getting
in the game" etc.

I had some laughs on TDU when just driving around and someone would
target you, but for fun, so you could just have a frantic run off.
Simple fact is though there are too many people who think the only
reason to play online is to win something at all costs.

I really enjoy having stuff like auction houses in games, so I do like
having the option of being able to connect with others even if it is
just swapping things or buying things (only with in game credits,
NEVER with real cash)

Try playing the games where you have to work together (Bomb da Base II,
Hangmans noose, and that drug deal one whose name I forget. You'll always
find some bad players unfortunately but if you're playing with a couple of
decent people you can get together & kick the loser out & play with people
who actually want to have fun.

Maybe a bunch of us from this group should get together on MP sometime?

As long as it doesn't involve killing hookers...
