I'm going through San Andreas (PC) for the first time, and find myself
stuck near the end of the game. Judging from this site

http://www.gtasanandreas.net/walkthrough/

I got all the Final Missions left, plus the 4 last missions in Desert,
plus 2 missions in Las Venturas. No one's calling and there are no
mission icons on the map.

I suspect it's a bug that prevents me from finishing the game. Before
giving up with this frustrating game, I'd just want to see if there may
be something I missed doing. What would it be?

I'm guessing that you are missing the airstrip missions icon.
It's an icon that looks like an airplane, the marker is in front of the open
Rustler hangar.

It is common for this kind of mistake, and it used to be the aircraft
one a lot.

Thanks guys. That was it. I thought that icon was for "practice flying
more because it's fun" (not). :-)

yeah, it is a pain in the backside but you have to do it :O( If you
replay the game as many of us have you may find these things get
easier.

Even more of a pain getting a perfect score in flying school using a
keyboard ! Hardest part was growing extra fingers for the Apache Helicopter
lesson.

Fortunately Gus, you don't need a perfect score. Just a passing one. ;)

I have to say flying school was a worse pain with the xbox pad than
the ps2.

Having used the Hunter extensively in GTA:VC I found that particular
part of the flight school easy. The parachute-on-to-target one drove me
absolutely mad when I was trying to get gold.

I say go for the golds; it's really convenient having some air vehicles
permanently spawning when you need them.

Cheers,

You think so? Hardest "perfect" score was driving school, but that's only
because it's such a ridiculous thing, trying to do a barrel roll in a car
without damaging it.

Flying school on a PC was easy enough to get 100%. It's possible that it
helps if you've bumped up your skill by jumping into Los Santos and San
Fierro airports all the time, then flying rather than driving.

Ooh - I can help you with this one!

If you look on the radar, you'll see a little yellow triangle that shows
exactly where the corona can be found. There's no need to fly all over the
map looking for it...

Ohh that's it! I always thought that the time-limit was a bit tight.

Since you got such a keen eye, maybe you can spot what I'm doing wrong here:

I don't seem able to get more than silver ;)

It's that little wobble you do off the side of the runway line just before
touching down. Also, don't aim for the centre of the coronas, just touch the
edge like you do on the last one.

Having said that, I don't think those tips will make up 10% worth of your
time. I think you should probably give up - you're not good enough to get
gold on this one...

Have you passed flying school? You need at least bronze in all the tests
before NOE becomes available. Because you get a call from Woozie inviting
you to the Four Dragons before doing flying school, you can also work
through his missions before Freefall, but at this point you would have to go
back and pass the pilot tests to be able to do anything else.
