I broke down and ordered the game guide, and I should get it in a few days,
so next week if anyone needs advice, I'll be happy to provide it....

:O) chicken. Gamefaqs would have given you a lot of info. I just hope
there are full pointers for where the hidden weapons are. There's a
rifle marked on the upper edge of the first island and try as I might
I cannot find the thing.

Ah, I've posted so much drunken noob BS, I can't find the post I want to
reply to... So I'm commandeering this post. Please bear with me. Paul, you
told me to check youtube to get better info on obtaining weapons. Great
advice. I commented, and said that the weapon didn't re-spawn, you (at
least I think it was you) said give it a little time and the weapon will
re-spawn. Well, by 'give it a little time' I took it to mean save the game
and advance the hours. No luck, then I saved the game again, and shut down.
Slept, started drinking again, 20 minutes later I started the game again,
looked in the same place for the gun, and no luck.... I'm just going to
shoot some people now because I'm frustrated....

weird. I don't know how long the respawn time is but I know the saved
game thing doesn't do it, it has to be in real time. That's why I
suggested finding say three or four different weapons and rotating
between them. It's a bit tedious but a watched weapon never boils :O)

Well, I knew the first URL, and text-based advice is only as good as the
person reading it. I was impatient and what the hell, Brady Games is going
to go bankrupt, so I threw them a string.

Yes, and no. I'd like to get every secret, but some of these games make it
so hard- i.e. These random encounters and getting these 'friends' to
100%... what's the pay-off? It ain't worth it. So I'll be happy just
finishing the game... at least with the others you were rewarded with caches
of weapons with your progress.
