dpydotsmw@hotmail.com - 25 May 2008 00:02 GMT Hi,
In LCS there's a laser-sighted sniper rifle on the balcony above the entrance to the Ristorante Ecoli southeast of Carson General Hospital. How the hell do I get onto the balcony to get it?

Thanks, but I thought of the vehicle idea - a fire engine doesn't even come close to being high enough. There aren't any legitimate helicopters in that game.

I don't recall the exact location that you're talking about but I remember a sniper rifle pickup (and hidden package) that could only be reached by jumping, either with a vehicle or just on foot, from the elevated train tracks close by. Had a hell of a time figuring out that one. In that game some of the pickups and packages were real bastards to reach, compared to GTA3...

As I recall, you'll cause an explosion affecting that whole area at some point and the restaurant gets damaged and then you can get the rifle. I remember spending quite some time looking for a way to get that rifle too, but didn't find any.
Funny name for a restaurant, by the way :(

None of these have come close to working, I'm beginning to assume that the rifle was put there before the last minute decision was made to remove helicopters from the game, so in fact it's no longer accessible. Anyone ever actually got onto that balcony?

It was when you said helicopters had been removed and I'm thinking, what? I've flown in them! then I realised my error.

You can't just use rockets and blow stuff up to get the same effect.

OK, thanks to all, you're right, some further research reveals that there's a mission called Bringing the House Down, which apparently does what you and others describe, I'm not quite there yet, so the laser-sighted rifle will have to stay where it is for now. By the way, I've only dug this out of a drawer to play it in an attempt to avoid the cost of a PS3 so I can play GTA4 - somehow I don't think it's going to work.

I'm doing the same thing:) I've played the story through once before then went back to San Andreas and Vice City Stories but I needed to get back to Liberty.
I really like LCS. Not many people do, but I just like the overall atmosphere / vibe of the game. There's the odd nasty/cheap mission but, overall, I like it.

Rockstar Leeds can go suck one.

Has anyone else even mentioned the bit in brackets?

Thanks Paul and others for all genuine replies. Unfortunately a.shole Farrel is demented and has a history of stalking honest and intelligent posters and spreading spam and nonsense across the internet under a variety of names.
Thank you
