Ah yes, know it well.
I've still got all my notes on how to collect the thing if anybody
wants them posted here.
IIRC, it's not just BP, it's *everything*-proof. The only way to kill
it is to ditch in to water. Great fun around Area 69 with 5/6 stars....
Cheers,
Rob

To the world you are somebody, but to somebody you are the world.

Or they could watch the YouTube vid ;o)

It'll be to stop you from blowing it up at the start of the mission to stop
the FBI people from escaping in it. It stops being bulletproof once they
unlock it and fly off. I've never managed to hit the guy who opens the door
_after_ he's opened it but _before_ he's got in.

A fun thing to do is to use a Rustler.
Strafe the feds to get their attention and then circle until the helicopter
takes off.
Then chase and shoot down the helicopter :)
Beware that he flies like a maniac and goes through the Restricted area (so
you'll get SAM's and Hydra's on your tail too).

I didn't know the hydras come for you- I thought it was a "no stars"
mission. I do know you always get a sandstorm though.
I've followed in the apache and taken it out with guns, which is what makes
me think it loses its proofness (!) when the door gets opened.
Speaking of the rustler, when the mood takes me, I do like flying over the
military or navy base and hunting the hydras that come out to play. A couple
of nights ago, I did "vertical bird" without blowing up the spare planes on
the carrier, so I got three chasing me. A bit of deft flying between the
building in LV meant I destroyed them all without firing a shot.

True, but my notes are laid out in step-by-step guide. Much easier than
pausing/playing/re-watching a video!

I never had any success with that either. The game seems to make NPCs
immune to gunfight when they go into an "entering vehicle animation".

Apparently it's the same with the "leaving vehicle animation". It's
really annoying with motorbike cops. You can get a few headshots in
while the bike cop is getting off his bike, but it doesn't do you any
good...
I just started a new game the other day and I've been building up
Carl's weapon skills in the turf wars and assorted mayhem. I guess I
should really check if those no damage hits count for the skills.

That's where I just tried it out after finally getting it. If it's any use
to anyone, you can disable the missile launchers by crashing onto them.
Rob.
