I'm aware of the many documented links between GTA and Manhunt but have never seen this mentioned before - or maybe my ears need syringing :-)

Every so often a gang member, seemingly unaware of Cash's presence, will whistle a phrase from "Life is But a Mere Supply" by Dezma, on GTA3's Head Radio - the bit that goes 'fun life should fun life do fun life wishin' - only without the words :-)

May be that certain gangs have favourite tunes to whistle....

I thought I was going mad too, but I distincly recognise some of the
tunes that the hunters sing. I'm positive that one of the Hoodz in the
early levels whistles "Good Thing" which is also on Head.

There's also a little ditty that's whistled by the Skinz gang (I think)
that sounds like an excerpt of Paul Weller's "Time Passes" from the
Stanley Road album.

There are quite a few different (And random) tunes that they whistle,
I'm gojng to pay better attention next time.

Have you completed Manhunt? If so you can simply put on the
invisibility and no noise cheats and get close to them more easily to
hear.

Cheers,
Rob

Yes, 'Good Thing' is on there too, been trying so hard to remember what
'Life is But a Mere Supply' was I forgot about that one. Only three or four
notes are actually whistled so its a case of 'Name That Tune' on high
difficulty.

'Life is But a Mere Supply' - if that's what it really is -  is definitely
on the 'Doorway Into Hell' level.

Only d/led Manhunt last week as I didn't realise it was on PC until recently
so have only just finished the hostage level.(Strapped For Cash)

The tunes only seemed to be in the first 3 levels or so or maybe I'm getting
better and don't hang around skulking in the shadows so much now, thereby
getting a chance to listen :-)

Though why so many tough guys are big fans of Mike Hunt - as were supposedly
the Diablos - I've no idea.

Hmm. Even the tramp's whistling it now! :-)
