man, it's dry in here. i hate it when we hit this dry period in GTA
gaming. i'm gonna have to play some GTA:LS just to get a discussion
going. the problem is, you guys have already exhausted the damn thing.

You mean LCS? Personally, once I finished VCS, I got distracted by
Diablo 2 and haven't been playing any GTAs - even though I'd started
playing GTA2 again and my reflexes for driving in it had only just
gotten back to 'adequate'. :P [really wish it had the on-foot
directional movement that GTA Advance had instead of the rotational
movement it uses - other than that, great game, and would've been great
for them to adapt to 3D for a next-gen version instead of going to
Liberty City for the 5th time. Can you imagine the uproar the mission
for the Russian Mafia where you pick up a busload of passengers and drop
'em off at the hot dog factory to be processed would cause in a 3D
version? >:]

oh jees, sorry, i meant GTA:SA. i've got Los Santos on my brain! i have
a PS2 somewhere downstairs, but don't really use it much because i'd
much prefer to play on my PC (controller issues!)
i'm just gonna wait and see what GTA IV needs to run on a PC, if it
*will* run on a PC :-)

Well, it's down to stuff like this:
Did you know that, during Cut Throat Business in SA, that if you lock Dogg
away somewhere safe (like in a garage) and go see Loc, you can repeated hit
the reporter lady and Loc with a heavy vehicle (like a tank), causing at
least one of two reactions?:
(1) After enough hits, they stay down, sprawled on the ground (but still
alive).
(2) Or, repeated hits slowly change their "ground-level" Z-coordinates so
that they hover several feet off the ground.
In both cases, when you come back with Dogg to trigger the video, Loc begins
the scene from wherever you left him (he either (1) gets up off the ground,
or (2) falls to the ground in the video) because the videos are "scripted"
not "prerecorded.
Yeah. Were down to stuff like that. But damned if it ain't STILL a lot of
fun.

I didn't like Vice City so I'm not going to bother with VCS, I'm not looking
forward to 4 anymore and I am so incredibly bored with SA despite not having
finished it so I borrowed the Godfather off of a friend of mine. I have to
say I love it. It's a great game that would be even better with some very
minor GTA improvements (jumping, climbing) but it's grabbed my attention
more than any GTA game has for a long time
