No worries. I'm stuck at about 95%. By the way, have you noticed that
the PS2 version has more than just extra USJs and Rampages? I've found
four extra side missions so far.
I've already done a guide for those, but now it looks like I'll have to
update it to include the PS2 exclusive stuff (I've looked and looked
but can't find even *one* guide specifically for the PS2).
The map is on it's way too...

I don't know if you've noticed, but an Empire site that's being
attacked doesn't cancel if you save the game (Unlike in San Andreas
with the gang territories).
When you reload the game the site will appear on the map as needing
repair, meaning you'll have to travel there and fix it anyway, which
costs you money. Much more fun to cap any bastard having a go at my
business <evil grin>
> Wait, so people HAVE been able to jump starfish island in the PS2
> version? I tried several times to hop over with a Yankee and no go.
Yup, although the PSP version allowed you to simply use a Taxi to hop
over the railing.
The way to do it is....
1. Grab a Yankee from the docks. Simply head south down the road where
your 101 Bayshore Avenue safehouse is and take the road that has
oncoming traffic. Look on your right to see a Yankee parked up.
2. Drive to the bridge and enter the grounds to the Diaz mansion. Turn
the Yankee around so that the back end points towards the eastern
island (The big boxy bit).
3. Park the Yankee so it's touching the wall and VERY slowly drive
backwards. You'll have to use the right stick to adjust your camera,
as the grass here has a semi-steep gradient right on the water's
edge.
4. Hold R1 and just tap square to slowly reverse. You're aiming to get
the back wheels halfway down the incline. Any more than that and the
truck will slide slowly in to the water as you try to make the jump.
5. Jump out of the truck and wait a few seconds. If the truck starts to
bounce around, chances are you'll have to re-park it as it won't stay
still for long enough so you can jump.
6. OK, the Yankee is static right? Do a running jump on to the front
engine, and then hop up to the boxcar thingy. Stand in the middle of
the truck's left edge (That's the edge that's furthest away from the
bridge).
7. Do a running jump from the Yankee's rear-right corner. With a bit of
luck you'll miss the invisible barrier. I've sort of worked out using
the spark trick that the first third of the truck's box thingy is
where the barrier ends, but sometimes the game likes to be a git and
stop you.
I've got a feeling that you weren't trying for the running jump, just
to hop the railing. It won't work as the collision detection works in
such a way that the there's an invisible barrier on the bridge's
railing that you can't stand on but will impede and jumping.
If you do make it, nice one. I'd advise taking over one mid-land Empire
that has a business you already own (Like prostitution, protection,
etc.).
That way you can save and complete all the Red Balloons, Rampages, USJs
and other things and be able to save without having to repeat the
bridge-jump tediousness.
YouTube now has a video of the jump if you still have trouble. I don't
know the address exactly, but just do a search for "Vice City Stories"
and you'll find it.
Have fun!
Cheers,
Rob

Yep, I was. I'm just not that fast enough with the controller to do a
running jump on such a short runway. I wonder what a fire truck would
do.

YouTube has done one better. There's a video just posted of a guy
warping to the golf course via jumping/walking around on that sewer
pipe under/in front of that dirt jump with the bribe near the
airport. That's a bizarre one. How the heck does the game engine just
teleport you for hoppin' around? This must be the poetic justice for
the time I got totally stuck on that jump pipe in the under-
construction building, riding my invisible motorcycle(that's how Vic
was positioned).

<Sorry to quote so much, but it's all relevant>
There's an identical "warp" in Liberty City Stories. The engine will
throw Toni and you end up near Staunton Island stadium.
There was another chap on YouTube that found an insubstantial wall near
the stadium. My question is: Can the VCS interiors be explored like the
ones in San Andreas?
I seriously doubt it, as all in-game interiors appear to exist within
the confines of the building you just entered, but it would be cool to
further explore the mechanics of another game I've grown to love.
I apologise for any typos, it is friday night after all <hic> good
night all.
Cheers,
Rob

ASFAIR it's near the Callahan Bridge. I might have the YouTube URL
bookmarked if you need it.
Using cheats it's also possible to get on top of the subway early.
However, if I'm going to get to the other islands early, I hate using
cheats. Exploits of the game engine is one thing....

Playground At The DOCK
Location: The PCJ-600 parked at the south tip of the row of
condominiums near Viceport that includes your "101 Bayshore Avenue"
hideout.
Objective: Complete the course in 1:15.
The course will take you in a vague spiral through the alley between
the condominiums, around the roof of the garage row, out onto and
across the street onto the grassy walkway along the coast. After
hitting a ramp you'll eventually end up scouting the Benny's
Restaurant boat for most of the remaining checkpoints.
Reward: $500
Rush!
Location: The Linerunner parked in an open lot at South Viceport.
Objective: Cause $1700 worth of damage in 3:00.
This mission works a lot like Crash. You essentially have to spin/flip
cars and knock people off their bikes to accumulate damage money. Peds
don't count. It's good to have a 2-3 star wanted level so the cops can
keep coming at you. You might also get extra (with "Knockon!" combo
multipliers) if they end up going Blues Brothers on other cars.
Reward: $1000
Human Memorial ODT
Location: The Biplane parked in the Second hangar from the south,
among the ones lining the west end of the Airport.
Objective: Complete the course in 4:50.
This is the reverse of the Land, Sea and Air ace mission. You'll taxi
off onto the runway and after getting airborne, will zigzag around the
West Island's landmarks before ending up at the transfer point near
the long pier behind the Junkyard. You'll get onto a Jetmax(?) and
then work your way south before turning back north. You'll eventually
end up jumping into Hyman Stadium and transferring onto a PCJ. You'll
do a lap around the stadium and the surrounding area before returning
to the stadium, going up the steps and finishing right where you'd
find the Phil Collins concert pickup.
Reward: $500
Caddy Daddy
Location: The Caddy parked by the Tennis courts just after the
entrance to Leaf Links.
Objective: Complete 3 laps of the course in 6:00.
Reward: $2500
Playground at the Park
Location: Going up the entrance ramp to the Washington Beach parking
lot, hang right around the wall as it ends and you'll find this
PCJ-600 in a corner.
Objective: Hit all the checkpoints in 1:10.
Reward: $500
Rampages:
1. 40 Cholos - Shorty Shotgun - Little Havana
On top of Guano's Cafe, Little Havana. There's an alley with a series
of ramps and jumps that eventually leads to this roof from the north.
2. 15 Vehicles - SPAS-12 - Starfish Island
On the front porch of the house next to and west of the Diaz Mansion.
3. 15 Vehicles - Rocket Launcher - Prawn Island
On the fountain in front of the Mendez Mansion. It's hidden behind the
trees and there's a health power-up nearby.
4. 70 Sharks - M249 - North Point Mall
In the Security booth near the center on the ground floor of the mall.
5. 25 Sharks - Dragunov - Ocean Beach
Up the stairs from an alley that includes a Red Balloon and a parked
Comet. Going north along these rooftops will lead to a Unique Jump.
Unique Jumps:
1. Little Havana
This jump, located between two buildings in South Little Havana, has a
rather long runway comprising of an alley with a Sanchez and a Mac-10
as well as the road leading into it from the north. Hit the ramp and
land in the Sunshine Autos lot to pass.
2. Starfish Island
Entering the Diaz Mansion through the front gate, continue up the
driveway past the garage and stairs. As you pass the end of the house,
make a hard left and go through a fence, where the ramp awaits. Hit
the ramp and clear the water to pass.
3. Vice Point
Starting from the north side of the blue building that you'll
recognize as a tool shop, head north along the road until you
encounter an Empire building with a large parking lot. Hang left
around it and you'll see the ramp, which should take you in front of
the Chunder Wheel. Land past the middle of the wheel to pass.
4. Vice Point
Starting from the front entrance of the Ducum Inn (where the Deluxo is
parked), head south along the road as it bends but keep to the left,
you'll see this jump at the tip of the hairpin, propped up against a
fence. Hit it and land in Leaf Links to pass.
New Purchases:
BP Sanchez - $4000 - As soon as you open the 101 Bayshore Avenue
safehouse.
Squallo - $4500 - As soon as you open West Island, available at the
long pier between the Compound and Junkyard where you find the Reefer.
Skimmer - $4500 - As soon as you open West Island, available at the
edge of the dock behind your Midland safehouse.

All this talk of getting to the eastern islands early in VCS has me
wondering if there's a way to get to Staunton Island (and Shoreside Vale,
natch) early in LCS - without destroying my chances for 100%, of course.
Can't spot any methods listed in th guides on GameFAQs, so I figured I might
as well ask you guys. :P

Yes there's several ways, breaking out of Portland all involves glitches.
Apart from the warp method, - you can go through "Blue Hell" and walk (or
drive) on top of the subway tunnels.
I think Orion_SR has documented all there is to know about this method:
