We were just discussing this the other day. It's about being as
relaxed as possible. You don't need to go full speed, you have enough
time and plenty to do the mission. When you go above the limits just
gently nudge yourself back down, don't jam it hard or you're more
likely to lose control. Many people advise getting onto the ocean as
early as possible and staying on it all round the coast til you're
near the target and then afterwards returning to the ocean. If I am
using the ocean I use the marker to give me an idea where to turn
inland, and you do have to remember at the end you have to land on the
landing strip back home so you need to come at it from the right
direction.

I used to go almost straight along til I came to the water above the
dam, then follow that water to the mouth, turn right over the airport,
then left at the big highway and down to the scarpered, where you can
either cut through the trees to the right or go above the limits and
trees for a more direct approach, hit the target then either return
round the coast or the same way you came. There are a number of points
where you'll get a lot of warning about height as the ground isn't
level and neither is the water in some places so you just have to
remember not to panic... you also have to be aware of trees popping up
after the airport and round the area of the target.

Recently I have started following the road by the secret area, both
too and from the target, but that's just to stop me getting bored :O)

You will get used to it, but it's never easy, just remember to remain
as calm as possible and watch out for obstructions appearing suddenly,
specially trees (which is probably why some prefer the ocean route)

Anybody having trouble with that mission probably shouldn't click that ;)

Great show-off :)

How do you replay old missions? You have a bunch of save games, or some
hack/cheat code?

Has to be an old save unfortunately.

I think I speak for just about everyone here when I say 'Dammit
Rockstar, when are you going to give us a replay facility for your GTA
games?'

It's not too bad on the PC, as you can make multiple saves for every
mission, but on the PS2 it's a real bastard having only 8 or 9 slots
(And most of them taken up with other good saves like BP cars and such).

Cheers,

Wow. I suppose for us sunday pilots, the easiest way is to just turn
north after takeoff and fly over the water all the way until you're
west of the corona. Make the drop and return the same way. The biggest
problem is that you might fall asleep since it's so easy...

Fly directly west until you see the bridge. Bank left slightly to fly under
the bridge, then turn south. Fly directly south until the caret for your
target is at 10oclock on your radar, then head straight for it. Fly through
the corona, bank right and climb to clear the trees, dive for the sea, and
return by the same route you came.

The alarm sounds when you are a certain height above ground level, so it
will sound of you climb to go over a cliff (say) but as soon as you crest
the edge, it will switch off.

After numerous failed attempts at doing it the way "the game wanted me
to(tm)", I got sick of crashing in to trees that didn't load in time
for me to see them and instead tried this:

When you start, head west towards Bayside. You'll eventually see the
huge red bridge (Garver?), and when you do head south following the
shoreline. As long as you stay over the water, and despite the protests
of the beepy altimeter thing, nothing will come over you. You can then
hit the corona and use the same method back.

This is the long easy version, nowadays I just prefer to ignore
anything thrown at me. It've very easy to avoid the Hydra's missiles
once you know how and luckily they gave you one of the better planes to
do it in.

Cheers,
Rob

This mission made me give up the game for over a year. Earlier this week I
finally beat it! Yay for me! Sorry. Anyway, the tips I have are avoid the
secret area and don't stress if your altitude thing beeps at you. When it
does go off look to see if the terrain in front of you is rising, If it will
come up enough to cure the beep and it will happen quick enough just keep
going. On the run through where I beat it I went over land for the trip down
and over the ocean for the trip back. Either way works but the ocean is much
clearer. Ignore the clock completely, it is of no consequence. 10 minutes is
enough time to do this mission at least three times, just relax.

That route is definetely easier..now it's a matter of controlling my
nerves when the altitude level beats..Thanks again.
