Stupid f.cking ambulance mission in GTA3!!! Picking up the last victim,
loads of time, one of those stupid little rasta's walks up to the rear
of the ambulance, can't reverse over him because the victim is there as
well, and he shoots, and the car gently catches fire while that last
victim gets on board and I tear away.....too late. BOOM! Another 2 hours
wasted. I love this game! But next time I really should do that stupid
f.cking ambulance mission before most of those stupid little clones
think that risking their stupid little clone lives to end one of my
infinit number of lives is their sole mission in life.
Oh well, will try again tomorrow evening, I guess. ;^)

Do it in that place with a hospital north of Los Santos - Montgomery, I
think. Should be much quicker than 2 hours.

Wrong GTA, G Hardy. Giovanni's talking about GTA3 and doing the mission
on Staunton Island (obviously after the "Kingdom Come" mission).

Yup, much later even, last finished mission is Grand Theft Aero, the
Cartel are more or less being subdued by the Yakuza ATM so I thought I'd
give the ambulance a go. Not looking for clues or tips, just sharing the
delightfully frustrating experience. Maybe I should try it in Shoreside
Vale, when I have antagonized the hoodies as well. Should be almost as
much fun as Portland, St. Marks in an ambulance (BOOM, BOOM, BOOM etc.)

If you can find the cheat for changing your character keep going
through til you get the old man in the long raincoat with a trilby,
but the one with white/grey hair, not the one with dark hair and a
moustache, they look very alike. For some reason the bad guys never
shoot at him as he is passing, so you can then do any missions where
you need to pass through dangerous areas without getting your car
blown out from under you. It can be frustrating how long it takes to
get the right guy, but it is worth it.

I still remember getting to Firefighter level 9 in GTA:SA and getting the
buttons for switching on the siren and ending the mission mixed up. Fun
having to go through it twice.

Been there, done that. There's that split second after the time your
brain sends the signal to press the WRONG button and before you get
confirmation on the screen and you know you've done the wrong thing,
your brain then screams, "NOOOOOO!!!! #$%@%$%^^!!!!"

Yeah, presing the 'exit vehicle' button on these missions is a bitch
:O)

Personally I never was able to complete the ambulance mission in GTA3,
despite doing it early on when nobody was shooting at me. I always
managed to roll the ambulance or just collect so much collision damage
that it eventually caught fire all on its own. I'm sure they made the
ambulance tougher and easier to drive (less likely to roll) in VC and
SA, as I completed it easily in those games. (Maybe I just got better
at driving though).
