Snow in PS2 LCS

I'm catching up on old newsgroup articles and saw a reference that the
snow effect in LCS is NOT present in the PS2 version. Is this true?
Lessens my motivation to do the car salesmen mission past level 6 if
so. I was looking forward to seeing snow. Anybody know the scoop?

Definitely not there.

On the PSP it requires you to complete the car salesman mission in one
go and then play on for a few levels (I think it's level 9).

Sadly it doesn't "unlock" the weather effects, presumably it was added
just to make control a bit more difficult on icy roads.

It does look pretty though :o)

Didn't even know that. I never bothered too much with the car selling.
Snow would definitely be nice in a GTA but without having to unlock it
first.
(Or can we fight global warming in real life by driving around in cars?)

Well shoot, I was looking forward to seeing snow. But I imagine it
didn't accumulate (leading to scenery like when visiting Liberty City
in the SA game). Anybody have a screen shot of the snow effects for
the PSP-challenged among us?
