Hey... Sometimes ago I came across this site with photos of real places compared against the photos taken in the game. It had comparison between Los Santos vs Los Angeles, San Fierro vs San Francisco, Las Venturas vs Las Vegas - in short all three cities. Francis Intl. Airport is based on LAX for example. Glen Weinstein's guide on http://www.gamefaqs.com/ has some links to pictures on just about everything in San Andreas. Some of them are quite obscure. Did you know that the observatory building is modelled on a real life on in America, the very same that was used 'Rebel Without A Cause'? The planetarium used to used as an obversatory but the light pollution from the LA basin destroyed that aspect. It is part of Griffith Park which is on the hills that overlook LA. The plaentarium boast one of the world's two dual hemsphere astroprojectors. I have been watching the MV series lately and I am amazed at how much it resembles VC (or at how VC was modeled after MV. CSI: Miami doesn't even come close to VC when compared with Miami Vice. |
