Hi

I have the pc version of San Andreas, and I like to listen to my own music
on it, but certain tracks won't play..

Is there a maximum number of files you can put in?
I do scan the user tracks, when I start the game...

Thanks in advance

Can it play the iTunes default format? (I think it's ".m4a")

How does the shortcut thing work? Do I have to shortcut every song? They're
all in nested sub-directories in my iTunes folder.

I believe its only mp3.........
Just right click on the folder containing the mp3.......select create
shortcut........and then paste that shortcut into C:\Documents and
Settings\**** *****\My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files\User
Tracks.....it then plays all mp3s in that folder and its subfolders once you
scan for audio in options.

Actually, I just tried it with my m4a's and it worked.

It's cool; I only had to put in a shortcut to the main folder, and it plays
the songs from ALL the sub-folders, and sub-sub-folders. It's like having my
iPod with me in San Andreas.

Although it's an anachronism, it's one I can live with.

SA can play Ogg Vorbis and WAV files out of the box. If you have the right
codecs you can also play other files (including MP3 and WMAs), so if you
have something else that can play M4As then it should work. AFAIK iTunes
uses AAC format which is an open format so it might work. Dunno about DRM
files though.

AFAIK the individual files to have to be shortcuts. All my own MP3s are
stored on a network drive and that seems to work OK.
