I switched from CRT to LCD after my Trinitron died yesterday.

Stupid newbie question. Which is better for gaming with LCD's ? DVI or
analog ?

Thanks in advance.

I bought 1 of those expensive DVI cables for my monitor and imo theres
absolutely no difference. during gameplay nothing noticable has improved or
got worse since changing over, and my work looks the same as it did before.
I wouldn't bother wasting your money :)

I'd trade in an FBAS cable for Y/C or RGB anytime for PS2 gaming.

I have a Nec 1760nx and I see a big diff between DSub/VGA and DVI.
Ive tried the diff cables on an gForce4, r9800p, 6600 and x850xt fxcards,
all with noticeable differences in both games and photo editing...
Also tried two of them at once, one usng DVI the other DSub. I could
clearly see the difference even though they both where calibrated with
an ColorVision Spyder2Pro Studio.

I always use DVI when I can. But the difference may be less with more
reasonable prised screens... I payed 650$ for mine wich now is on sale
for 400$. (Still hurts...)
