I am having trouble getting the package on top of the garage roof in
Portland...anyone got any tips? I have read gamefaqs but none of the ideas
really help me out at all...what's the easiest? I tried the ambulance but
still am way too far away from the roof....help!

Thanks

I haven't played this as it is on the psp, but if it is anything like
the original gt3 on the ps2 there were one or two packages you had to
jump on a wall or such and walk along it slowly, preferably with top
down view, then you can walk round til you're close enough for the
jump or drop.

You mean on top of the gas station?  That one's a bitch.  You can't walk or
hop to it--you have to get a dirt bike, go up the dirt road that leads to
8-Ball's, then race down it at full speed and hit the concrete wall that
surrounds the station while standing up on the bike.  When done right (and
this took me many, many tries) you'll fly off the bike and land on the roof
where the package is.

It looks like there should be lots of other ways to do it (one guy claimed
to have somehow stacked garbage trucks there and used them as a bridge) but
that's the only one that worked for me.  Persistance and patience are the
words here.

PS: It's not like GTA3--they moved all the hidden packages and some of them
are a real challenge to reach.

Thanks, yeah it is a pain in the a.s. I finally got it by riding a bike from
the junkyard and using the broken down card as a jump.

Good for you.  I tried that a dozen times or more and never even got
close to making it to the roof.  Hitting the concrete wall was the only
thing I get make wor and that took a lot of perseverence.

Did you get the one at the construction site in Portland?  It looks even
harder but turned out to be surprisingly easy once you knew how...

Yep, I got that one too...I am going through the guide so I knew I had to do
the unique jump to get it, just doing it right was the hard part.

I have 85 packages now but it seems i missed one on one of the first two
islands so I have to go back and check them all again :-(

Damn typoes.  "get make wor" = "could make work."  Lack of sleep is bad
for usenet coherency...

Actually, even that isn't necessary.  You can just hop to it from the
tracks on foot.  :)
