As a full time student with a part-time job I'll literally have weeks
where I play no games at all. All those suckers on the survey have 16
hours of gaming per week minimum (on average). That's insane!

Right now I might play 20 hours a week at a peak, with my average
being around 10 hours a week. That's only because I'm unemployed.

My longest single stint as something like 24-30 hours straight playing all
the way through FF7 in one weekend (first time I had played it). See at the
time I didn't own a PSX and my friend who was going out of town for the
weekend let me borrow his. I was working on a bit of a time constraint. In
the end he ended up being gone for a whole week so I spent the remainder of
the week picking up a few extras in FF7 and playing other games.

OK, I can understand a marathon to get through a specific game - lord
knows I've done it - but we are talking on a weekly basis here!

They are probably the kind of guys who buy and sell sh.t on ebay for games.

I played most of my peak time was spent while in school with no job. Now
that I'm out and working (not full time yet alas) I don't play nearly as
much. I suppose It's probably more than 5 hours a week if you could DDR
time at the arcade. Somehow I suspect the survey is referring to home
console gaming. DDR is more like exercising really. Bump it up to a maybe
10 if you could the DDR. Still low from what I used to do.

If that's the case change my average gamming time to zero.

Before this semester I played 10 hours of DDR/StepMania a week. Now it's
zero (usually).

Yeah, two semesters ago I went every Friday night. Then the last semester I
still went occasionally but went much less. Now that I'm out of school most
afternoons after work I'll go to the arcade for an hour or two.

I have DDRMAX2 for my PlayStation 2 and otherwise usually play StepMania
at home (I have some PS2 to USB adapters). I only go to the arcade if
I'm getting sick of my pads sliding on my tile family room floor.

I have played some at home on Max 1 and Stepmania but I find that it just
doesn't replicate the feel of the arcade. I even built a hard pad but I
haven't gotten it working properly yet. Not that I've tried fixing it in
like 4 months.

Jesus. Back in the day, maybe. Probably a hell of a lot more
than that. These days, I'll give myself 6 at the most, which is
generally a one or two day spurt.

I usually don't play any games during the semester. I do waste a lot of time
on the net though. When I was on holidays, I'd play for hours everyday. II
was too lazy to look for a job in the break.
