The Legend of Ramen 300 - 25 Nov 2003 03:22 GMT
It' not about the long travel time of FF11, it's about boring fetch
quests that take 5 hours to complete and levels that take 20 hours to
gain.
Coren - 25 Nov 2003 10:09 GMT
This is different than other MMORPG's how?  Well, the quest party anyway.
The lvl bugs me too... it's easier once you hit lvl 18 and can get a
subjob....

Of course not, I'm saying all have their tedious and annoying parts.  There
are other qualities to the game that redeem it though (for me at least).

Why?... oh wait, I mean WHY.  ARE YOU TOO f.cking STUPID TO CLICK ON IT?  I
DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOUR NEWSREADER, BUT MINE PUTS THINGS IN ORDER... I READ
TOP TO BOTTOM, AND WHEN PEOPLE QUOTE OR DON'T QUOTE, I STILL SEE WTF THEY

I prefer "different".  Out of my posting on usenet for 5+ yrs (not that
long, given how long usenet has been around, but you get the point), you are
the second person to comment on it, and the first was a troll that liked to
start flamewars and be a general a.shole to people ... so maybe thats saying
something.

If you prefer "different", don't bitch about the way other people format
their posts. Telling people to punctuate when you do a sh.t job yourself
isn't the best way to inspire better literacy, y'know?

Other than me perhaps using excessive "..." occasionally, my punctuation
isn't bad at all.  If you discount typos, my posts are more easily read than
most of the rest of usenet, actually.

I reduce cluttr by having my nesreader display only unread posts.  It's a lot of
work to go through and force it to display the old posts, then sort through a
thousand messages for the one I want to re-read.

Or, alternately, I could save time, bandwidth, and disk space by having
my client delete references to previously-read posts. Of course, that
might be too *technical* for you. Not only that, it's COMMON f.cking
COURTESY. However, you don't care about the other posters on this
newsgroup, only yourself.

As long as we're choosing to nitpick, use proper grammar, please.
Ellipses are not valid punctuation in narrative. Dialogue, perhaps, but
not narrative. For the record as well, it is called "Caps Lock". "Caps"
could mean just about anything, as shown by
<http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=cap>. Don't put a comma before
"and"; that's improper grammar as well. "WTF" is not a word. Finally, I
don't know about you, but I don't think Hell looks much like anything,
let alone "stupid".

You ready to stop this insanity now? I can go on as long as you wish, as
it provides me with hours of endless amusement. If you really think I'm
that moronic/idiotic/what-have-you, you could just killfile me.

I put a comma before my ands sometimes.  Does that make me un-american??

No, fool.  Especially when a thread goes on for more than a day, those of us
who do things between reading NG posts will tend to forget the specifics of
a thread, and as such will be lost upon your post.  Clicking the post above
is not always sufficient, nor should it be necessary.  In very much the same
way my comments here are addressing one particular comment you are making,
it is much easier to follow it if the comments referenced precede my own.

Apparently you missed the point of the caps.  Figures.

Mass ellipses usage does not fall under the umbrella of proper grammar,

I like how you conveniently wait a couple days before responding to my
posts.  If you'd care to notice, all of my newer threads quote what I'm
replying to, to make it easier for you lazier dickwipes (yes I think thats
the word you used) to figure out why I justify calling you all worthless
a.sholes.

You know, because it's a terrible thing to delay your responses due to
a social life.

Actually, _I_ called you a "lazy fucktard."  There's that lack of
attribution again.

But yeah, thanks for quoting.

We all now you dont like MMORPG's. There is no need to complain about
things that make a game an MMORPG. You never brought up any facts that
simply specifies FFXI is worse in anyway from another MMORPG.
