Hi All,

After spending about 20 hours, I'm at the end of chapter 2...

my thoughts on the game so far:

   likes:

       * I love the sphere/ability and garnet system. I'm the type of rpg
gamer who loves to spend a lot of time in the menu system, tweeking
characters... which is why ff8 is my favorite ff game of all time.

       * I also like the dynamics between the 3 girls. I feel they have
great chemistry.

       * Sphere breaker is a great mini game.. i havne't played it much,
but did enjoy it from the tutorial.

   dislikes:

       * I feel ff10-2 has way too much side quests and mini games, which
really hurts the development of the main story line.. which i don't quite
know what it is yet.. The crimson spheres do a good job invoking my
curiosity, however, the story is just moving way too slowly. I feel the game
is lacking a strong, continous story. Of course, it may change later in the
game. So far, it's just side quest after side quest, most of them have very
little to do with the main story.(chasing chocobo, pairing up monkeys..etc)

       * The 100% completion thing.. this forces me to use the guide, which
i hate to do.

Here's my ranking on the ff games i've played:

   ff8, ff10, ff7, ff6, ff9

i think 10-2 is probably somewhere between ff7 and ff6 for now.

A lot of the side quests and mini-games aren't even that interesting.
You don't even do anything in some of them. I've heard that you can
play Blitzball at some point in the game, but you basically just watch
the game play out, which seems pretty boring to me.
