"Rumors of a Final Fantasy VII sequel can finally be put to rest, but the
outcome is not quite what gamers would have expected. Instead of being a
playable title, the sequel, subtitled Advent Children, will be released as a
DVD movie. This epilogue will take us back to the world of Final Fantasy VII
to find out what has happened to Cloud and his cohorts two years after
saving the planet from Sephiroth and Meteor. Needless to say, countless
thousands of fan fictions will be rendered obsolete with this movie. A
release is scheduled to take place sometime next year."

This is kind of wierd, DVD movie? So what it'll never come out at the
movies? Man that is stupid, i'd pay my $10 to see it a t the movies
but i ain't gonna buy a DVD. How the characters look would actually be
kind of cool to see, just had a thought, was that a hoax? It just
seems wrong.

You know how Disney's crappy sequels never come out in the theatres, but are
released directly to video. Same kind of deal. This movie is going to be so
crappy and appeal to such a small number of people that there is no sense
wasting money to put it in the theatres.

How long do you suppose it would go for? Would it be anything like
FFX-Another story? I can't be bothered to read the article at this point
(besides, I haven't played FFVII yet), but will this feature the characters
in how they looked in the cinematics, or will they use actors?

Then I can't be bothered to explain what is already clearly laid out in the
article.

That's quite alright. I was going to read it later anyway, but all the same
people are still asking questions.

This just means they're too lazy to make a game. f.cking losers.
Should be subtitled: "We Should've Left Well Enough Alone"

Perhaps they are releasing the dvd in order to revive interest in ff7 before
they make a new game or maybe to see if the interest is there.

f.ck.
Well, this is actually a better idea than going with a sequel. Kind of
unnecessary though.

Their death was never shown, and has never been proven. If all humans died
because the Planet cleansed itself, why are there human children's voices
laughing in the FF7 closing?
The fact that Square have apparently authozized this movie actually proves
that they didn't die.

There aren't. Use your own logic. Human children were never shown. It was
never proven that human children's voices were laughing in the FF7 closing.

Nor was it /not/ proven.
