Buckaroo Banzai - 22 Feb 2007 05:27 GMT Well, I really like this game. It's exciting, involving, and keeps your interest. Having said that, it fails in a lot of FF ways- The main characters don't get very powerful, the accessories are limited. The weapons are VERY limited. The Espers are practically useless- When I got in trouble, i.e. my guy was less than 1,000 hp, I called up an Esper, and once I did that the enemy promptly killed my guy and my Esper was sent packing. The Quickenings, i.e. Limit Breaks are just as useless because A) they use up precious magic points and B) there's no rhyme or reason to chaining them together. So it was, and wasn't FF.... I still liked the game though.

I loved the quickenings. I consitantly got high lvl chains (even got a black hole once), and all you need to start a quickening is to have one character with mp. The quickenings allowed me to do a lot of damage without getting damaged my self.

Well, I'd love to know your recipe.. because what I learned from the guides is that you've got to chain one character's quickenings together, i.e. Vann, Vann, Vann. not Vann, Fran, Penelo. Most of the time I try to do that I do the character's quickening, and then I don't get the option of choosing that character's quickening again, so I have to choose another character's quickening, and yes, I know you're supposed to choose the weakest quickening in order to chain one character's quickenings... Am I missing something?

I read the walkthrough too but didn't pay to close attention to fallowing it exactly. No I just started with the weakest quickenings but I payed no attention to whos quickening it was. I didn't think the character was important when it came to chainging. If you start with lvl 3 quickening it will use all three mist charges, which is why I start with lvl 1. There is an option, Mist Charge I think, that pops up every so often. This option will refuel your mist charges for that character but only for the quickenings (no mp afterwards still).
What I mostly concentrated on was just getting the quickenings out and not on any order or anything, just getting them out and chaining them as much as I can. I figured even if I don't get anything like blackhole I at least do more damage just from the quickenings themselves. Hope this helps.

Well, I'm trying the lowest quickenings chains and I'm getting no love... I chain two to three and then I'm blocked.. I'm *so* far from the term 'blackhole', that I'm assuming it's the 'ultimate' quickening... but I'll never know.... \

To get a "Myth-Fusion" (as it is called in the german version) You need to chain the techs. If You have three Level 1 Techs in Your chain (no matter if there are any other Levels), You will get the smallest fusion: Inferno (nonelemental though it looks like a fire-based attack). For 7 Level 1 Techs You will get "Kataklase".
The "Black Hole" might be the Topfusion and can be achieved by chaining 4 Level 1, 4 Level 2 and 4 Level 3 Myst-Techs. Easy, isn´t it? ;-) I´ve only seen the two fusion mentioned above. I will check for further info!
Good Luck!
Marcel

So it was, and wasn't FF.... I still liked the game though. Solution: Get an Action Replay and try some codes out for this games. Infinite cash, infinite license points, and forget aboutthe rest. It'll improve this game in so many way. Check it out.
