FFXII (12) on PS2?

I see that it's going to be released for the PS2. Will this mean it won't be
an online only game for the console or what? Obviously the PS2 can go
online, but it would seem odd to have an online only game for the PS2.

I was under the impression FFXII was _not_ an online only game, that was
FFXI, that was indeed an online only game.

That's the case. Question is when will we get the game? I know it's due out
in Japan in March. Getting tired of waiting for it.

According to gamefaqs.com the US release date is 1st August 06.

Anyway, no, FF12 is not online-only.

I confused it with FFXI. D'oh! Damn. I haven't even finished FFX-2 yet. I
don't know why, but I haven't been getting into any games lately which is
odd since I loved FFX, FFVII and FFVIII. Advent Children was pretty cool.

Since when was FF XII going to be an online game...? It isn't! FF XI is
an online game and has been released over here in Britain for months
now.... but FF XII will be your normal, run of the mill Final Fantasy
game...
