Who would you pick for a fallout screenplay/movie?

Which female and male actors and actresses would you pick to play the
main character in fallout?

I think the fallouts are very oriented around its quests, too much for a
movie, unless it was a series which are often very object oriented, but
series are almost always horribly underfunded and every scene ends up being
in a tightass studio wall to wall sh.t. Not exactly the grand movie one has
in mind.
If you ditched the whole waterchip and geck thing and let it be more about
survival in the fallout world etc or a good vs bad thing then maybe it'd be
possible.  Maybe if James Cameron did it :)
For actors, well, just as long as it's not a bunch of kids or dollfaces
acting then I don't really care... A bunch of unknowns can often be much
more effective as you don't already have a personal expectation towards
them...
Gary Oldman is always a good badguy though, and maybe Bruce Willis would
play a good junktown Killian Darkwater type guy...

No, is it any good?
don't dig tv series much... I'm of the belief that the series' producers
have some kind of internal "make the shittiest show for the least money
possible" competition going on amongst themselves...
The concept is usually fine, but the show ends up with 'extremely' poor
writing. Especially the "unique new moral" they attempt to punch into every
f.cking episode makes me vomit.
though maybe I'll grab a few episodes somewhere anyway...  ;)
will tell ya what I think of it then...

It needs lots of actors with beards! There aren't enough beards in
Fallout!!

Once you've been jacked into the movie-TV entertainment for a few
decades the formula nature of the media makes too many efforts
predictable.  The plot progressions, cuts, fades, and cleavage shots can
be as banal as they can be tediously manipulative.

All those ruthlessly staged rehashing of cinema verte, the Survivor
Shows, are soap operas pretending to be immediate and intimately
"New-sy", while all the "News" hype covering this fad of style is all
part of the larger fashion of "infotainment".

Along with the wealth, or clutter of stuff available these days is all
the review shows clamoring for our attention, multiple channel and even
multiple radio station reviews of movies.

There are many movies I don't "have" to see on the big screen, or even a
year later on cassette or DVD. With the coverage of the cable stuff, and
the obligatory web hype sights I find I know much about that bit of buzz
and I don't have cable.

I "see" less now and enjoy it more because there is so little "must see"
these days.

More or less: "less is more".

So you're asking for opinions of what known talking heads and screen
faces are the next Kevin Costner, or Mel Gibson wanna bees, what babe de
jour will be the Sigourney Weaver, bathed in Alien sweat, the mandatory
romantic orgasmic hook, or hook'er.

Perhaps a re-make of "A Boy And His Dog" will feature the next young Ben
Johnson  and focus more on the plot end kicker, that twist on the old
Twilight Zone version of "How To Serve Man" with Hannibal Lector-PBS
gourmet gusto.

If this FO movie is as well constructed and presented as the first Stars
Wars was in 1977 , then such details as actors and actresses are of less
importance then the narrative whole.

If guilt is an association than I doubt Interplay's big buddy Vivendi
would be able to make this, (NEW reason to hold onto the FO licensee and
justify NOT making FO3), ... make a profitable screen venture worthy of
your and my time and money.  They would still make a personal profit
because they can skim off the top and pay their perks first and then
play that corporate shell game that mines all the tax codes, and robs
the U.S. incorporated Interplay, "Peter", to prop up the Frenchman's
Titus, "Paul".

FO The Movie.

The pathos and drama would be dumped for the fast forward cocaine
collage of pure sensation and your "FO, The Movie" would be FO:BOS Da
"M'Video" with fast rotation of heavy metal trailers on MTV
long into media night.
