Transferring Fallout 2 savegames under Mac OS X

Hi, does anyone know how to transfer saved games for the new Omni
Group/Macplay OS X port of Fallout 2 from one computer to another?

I tried just copying everything associated with Fallout 2 (including all
the stuff spread around the Library folders and such) to the same places
on the other Mac, but it crashed just after the title screen unless I
removed the "Fallout 2:Contents:Resources:GameData:data:st:old:" folder,
at which point it runs just fine but my savegames don't show up.

This is really vexing. I wish UN*X/wintel developers (and/or the Mac
people that port from them) would let users have unlimited
saves/profiles anywhere on any volume stored as a single, self-contained
binary file accessable through the platform's native open/save dialog
instead of piles of brittle, interconnexted, hidden subdirectories full
of nameless text files accessible only through the game's own loopy
savegame interface.

The spam has kept me away for months.

So you may have solved your problem.

But ...

Have years old,15 inch Power Book 1g hz, 1g mem, 60 g hd, upgraded OS
now 10.43.

When PC sav file copy and archive option was not immediately obvious,
did the good old Mac drag and drop, .... ,

Use to move Mac app's around from hd to hd in the old scsi systems, OS 7
to OS 9, worked.  Might have to manually install proprietary extensions
too, when changing start disks.  ... ,

OS 10, have made full game copies in separate folders.  5 to 6 hundred
megs a drop, not the issue it once was.

These days of cheap cd's, dvd's, and giga size hard drives, I've made
copies of the FO install, and have fit complete copy of install on  cd.
Will even start when opened, but never pushed it to a possible write to
disk.

Think of it as multiple manual installs.  With 60 gig start drive ,and
160 plus fire wire extenal drives, half a gig, ''size is not an issue''.

BUT, after dragging and dropping, have not 'played' archive copies on hd
too far to see if some library or resource bug is lurking. Have never
had more than one open at a time.

Have not tried to play the FO's from a different log on, either.

Win OS's installs seem fragmented, lots of files spread through out the
OS. Not aware if Mac OS 10 is this complex, don't care to find out, this
day ...

Have played parallel paths and restarts for FO1 and FO2.
