Fallout 2 Voice Module - Help!

I have gotten to Vault 13 and have been asked to get the Computer
Voice Module. I cannot find one - I've asked at the Arms Dealer in New
Reno and have checked in Vault City 2nd floor of the vault. Both areas
I have already been through extensively. I think that I must have
gotten them already but they are not in my or my NPCs inventory, not
in my car trunk, and I don't think that I dropped them in the world as
I seemed to have retained every other piece of crap I've found.

Can I get another from the Arms Dealer - I've asked for normal barter
and, as a Made-Man for the specials? Is there away to recreate it via
scripting? Will it matter if I don't complete that quest? I've already
found the Military Base just through random travels anyway.

There's no absolute need to complete the quest; if you just continue on
your way through the game things will work out. If you really want to
get it done, I recommend getting an inventory editor (I know there's one
out there, but can't think of it) and using it to edit a save file to
have a voice module in your inventory.

In Reno, the voice module is not part of the normal stock or the Made
Man stock. Choose the line where you're looking for something special.
He'll offer you an item without specifying what it is. That's the
voice module. You don't *have* to complete it, but it's worth a good
chunk of xp, and it's also the honorable way to get the GECK. On the
Vault City 2nd floor, there are a couple of containers that are hard to
spot unless you check along all the walls and corners of the rooms.
You might also check the stores in Vault City in case you found it and
sold it there.
