just logged in to see the new stuff and I find that the disciplines
don't function.  I didn't see anything about them in the patch
message.  Maybe a bug?

I think I found it.  I have to get tomes for my disciplines.  even the
old ones.

That's true but the way they work now is much better. Separate timers
woo!

Resistant/Fearless are on the same timer still (not that it matters :-P,
who uses resistant?)  I drained half my endurance bar by going fearless
then protective spirit.  I don't have my 60 yet - but I'm guessing it
has a seperate timer as well.

More people will now that it doesn't blow their Nimbles, their
Defensives, their Duelists, their Innerflames, or any of the other
disciplines that they want to be able to use. There's plenty of places where
it makes sense to use it, too.

Be aware, timeing is everything.  You cannot have two disciplines up at the
same time, even if they are on different timer.   Start the long lasting
resist discipline and you can't run any others until it expires.

Check your combat window again. You can, with the new system, stop a
discipline at any time.

Isn't it only +10 to resists?  That's the description I read.  Surely
not worth the endurance cost to a class with multiple end. abilities
(pure melee).

I believe it is +20.

Well, now that it's on Lucy there's no excuse not to look it up! ;-)

Resistant Discipline: increase all resists by 16 (level 30) to 20 (level
38). Enduranceupkeep (obtained by looking at the Raw Data page): 3.
Duration: 5 minutes.

The endurance cost is quite low. Focused Will has an upkeep of 1, and my
49 monk's endurance bar doesn't even twitch when he uses that. 20 points is
enough that people will want to use it - people used to swap in near-useless
resist gear just to get 20 points of resists. The duration is long enough
that it should last until you switch to an end-of-fight discipline. And
considering the other disciplines that share the same timer (Fearless and
Focused Will), why not use it?

They were clearly in the patch message - read it again
