Hi all,
I am just wondering if there is a legal way to sell accounts with toons on
them?
I decided to no longer play EverQuest but paid on a yearly basis. So there
are some month left on each of my 3 accounts. And all Accounts have all
expansions except the latest one (PoR).
So even if SOE is saying, that the toons and all stuff belongs to them and
it is fobidden to sell them, it should be possible to at least sell the
paid time on the accounts and the expansions that are on them.
Maybe someone has experience with this issue? As far as I know, SOE don't
like the selling of accounts and they do stuff to prohibit it.
But is it possible to sell just the said stuff above without mentioning
the toons on the account on eBay? Or is that illegal, too?
With kind regards,
Konrad

I don't think it's illegal, but it is certainly still against the EULA, as
there is no way of merely selling the paid time without selling the
accounts as well.

Depends on what you mean by "legal". You're likely not committing a crime,
but you ARE violating an agreement with the game company.

Why do you think that? AFAIK, SOE does not condone sales of accounts,
period, whether you delete all the characters first or not.

Right.

Not illegal, just prohibited by SOE. You're perhaps more likely to get
away with it if you first delete all your characters, but you probably can't
get much money for it either. If you DON'T delete your characters, you're
pretty clearly selling them in addition to the account time, regardless of
the text of your auction.

Its not illegal to sell them. Its against Soe's rules but since they
don't enforce any rules as of late try eBay or Yahoo. Or
mysupersales.com/

I wrote an eMail to mysupersales but never got an answer. So I will offer
them in eBay in the next days. Thank you for your answer.

I'm guessing they are trying to get out of the EQ business. Thier
plat prices have dropped big time. Used to be around $500 for 1mpp and
now its in the $300 range (or lower, I haven't checked lately). Good
luck with it.

A quick check at playerauctions.com shows some selling even cheaper.
The few auction for 1 million plats were for $250.

67 bard, 50 aa, 9 expansions. "raid ready" *snicker* half of the gear
he has were the same I had at a much lower level and I can say for
sure not raid ready unless they were raiding Fippy. The total
unbuffed stats is almost the same as my 70 beastlord's nekkid and
unbuffed stats
