I quit EQ last summer and last nite my brother tried logging in my
account and it let him in. He also tried one of his accounts that has
been canceled since last year and it let him log into that one also.
Neither of us received any emails from Sony announcing free play time.
Anyone know whats going on?

It is to entice you back. Some older accounts not used in some time
did get a free month. I saw mention of this on the official forums a
month or so ago.

you probably got in on the 'welcome back' promotion. i think they allow
you 30 free days if you haven't played in a long time. Make sure the
account is canceled before the end of the 30 if you don't want to have to
pay for it.
