*Another* patch.  If they do more rollbacks I'm out.

And why the hell do they do "scheduled" maintenance on
a Saturday morning for a game system?  It's Saturday everywhere
they have customers.  When do people play games?

I'm begining to detect a pattern.  "Whoops, we made a mistake.
Should we stop and correct it now, or allow it to percolate through
the world for two or three days so that we can make sure thousands
of people are unknowingly affected?"  "We need some more maintenance
time.  When do most people use the system?"

Clearly the technical lead on this project is a BOFH.

apparently this doesn't apply to AA exp, however. Sure doesn't for me
at any rate. I haven't checked killing exp yet.

It's a bug - they're re-patching again to fix it.

They fixed it, and right now on Bristlebane everyone
in Nek Forest is bitching about not being able to
start monster missions, something about there being
a limited number of instances that can be run at once.
Too funny.

I half-jokingly said to my guild earlier that I bet the
server crashes due to overload......now I'm just waiting
around for the meltdown.

Same thing in Highpass.  There were over 200 peeps sitting around in
between mm's.  It did spawn a few jerk, lamers, losers, and a.sholes
who does mass XLoc, training a bunch of mobs, and one (or 2?)
frequently trained a rogue 1.5 npc over.  Worse of all is most were
whining a lot about not being to get close to click on the npc.
Sounds like the whiners are really noobs since anyone can use either
F8 or ~ key to target the npc from a less crowded distance, and still
get a mission.

I did get a few occasions of not being to get in but mostly did fine.
No crash on Maelin that I know of.

almost 40 aa's in 8 hours.  and one HHK mission was on the crazy side
with 6 clerics and no tank.  Still managed to finish that one before
the task timer expired.

From posts on the official forums, Stromm crashed on Saturday.

Yeah, after I posted that, I went back to play another character, and
they announced they were taking the server down. Oh well, it got us
two more days!

Fun weekend, 50ish AAs total for me, others got lots more I know.  Was fun
soloing and getting 36% of an AA per mob I killed with LoTD running.

They're taking servers down on Saturday because
they are giving all players game-wide double exp
for the weekend - sort of a "we're sorry" for the
giant rollback fiasco.  I imagine you've already
logged in and learned this by the time you read my
message.

Let's see, you've been playing this game so goddamn long that you've
wound up in my killfile, and now you're threatening to quit, like
anyone cares, or as if you've never seen any of this and threatened to
quit a dozen other times? I suppose you'd prefer that they just left
the game f.cked up as opposed to patching it... or are you just pissed
off because you didn't get in on the exploits... or you <did> get in
on the exploits, but they rolled you back and you lost them?

If you haven't figured this out by now, you must be pretty dense. You
say the same sh.t every time.
And you've pretty much really gotta be an idiot to get in my killfile,
I can guarantee that.

Hmmm, let's see if I can be polite about this...  No, I'm
afraid not...

f.ck off, you arrogant little prick.

BTW, I've never thought about leaving the game before.  But
if today's patch had resulted in MORE rollbacks I certainly would have.
That was a true fiasco.

I don't use a killfile, but I thought the whole point of it was to
prevent you from seeing posts from certain people.  How are you seeing
the original post???

I was intrigued by the response, and felt compelled to pull the

Don't know about other newsreaders, but with Xnews, you just click up the
thread if you see a response to someone you KFed, and it will pull up the
message from the person you KFed.
