You know, I really was doubtful when you guys argued that we absolutely must
split the EQ and EQ2 groups. But it does seem to have worked.
Look at all the conversation here that would have been overwhelmed by the four
posts that the EQ2 group has gotten in the last week. Almost a dozen posts
over four days! I can see that my posted concerns of the time, that there
would not be enough traffic to support two individual groups, were completely
unfounded.

I think usenet should go the way of the EQ1 server and start merging.
there is a lot less traffic here then years ago, and forum community
type things are getting larger and larger.

As an example, alt.music.tool used to get hundreds of messages a day.
now it gets maybe a hundred a week. some will say this is due to the
band not making albums or touring lately, but they've recently
announced a new album for spring '06 which would drive the groups
traffic way up most times. alt.html is pretty slow these days too, and
sitepointforums.com is packed with people

Well, for a while the eq2 posts were kind of drowning out the EQ posts...
