Hi All

I approve of the Monster Mission adjustment - there's one timer for
ALL missions now, not a timer for each individual mission.  It means
no more rinse and repeat orc/fairy, lol.  Mind you, people will
probably just camp out to a new alt after each mission and cycle
through their alts.  Still, the xp appeared the same (based on doing
one mission) and an AA per mission still works out good.  I must try
it with a low-level alt to confirm the xp is the same.

The new UI looks good, but after a bit of experimentation I could find
no way to make the horizontal button bars into a bank of 2x5, as they
used to be.  Is there a way to do it?

Oh, some people report their screen res changing after logging in, but
changing it back seems to work ok.

Sadly, the new spell icons are just silly - attractive, I give you
that, mind.  Everyone is SO used to the old ones, and could see at a
glance what the buff status is. Why change it if it wasn't busted...
If they had changed the UI to show the NAME of the spell/buff, I could
see some sort of rationale for the change, but not for simply
introducing new icons just for the look.

I really dislike what they've done. It is straight out of
EQ2 and fancy corners to a target box or the chat screen
means nothing at all. The horizontal button bar sucks. I
hope there is a way to change it back, but haven't found it
if indeed it does exist.

Mine changed and continues to change every time I log in...

I agree the new icons are very silly. They look very similar
unless you look very close and distract you from what you're
doing. This may change in time, I hope....

BTW, does your mouse work in full screen mode?

Well, if you had read the patch message...:
   /loadskin default_old

Yes, I did that within 30 seconds, but didn't mention this as I
assumed everyone knew that the option to load UI's is in Options,
General...  As you say, it is the default_old you want.

Already read, understood and done. I was referring to the
Hotbutton bar. If I understand it correctly, 1 and 2 are
horizontal, 3 and 4 are vertical, but there is no way to
make all 4 the same and all 4 as 2 X 5.

Customise them or download custom ones.

All mine are 2x5 as they always used to be.

/loadskin default_old 1

as per the Sony website.

I just fixed mine, took 30 seconds to copy gemicons1-3.tga into a custom UI
directory.

Known fault, they're working on it, it may be fixed (or XP SP2 might have
fixed it on the one machine here where it wasn't working).

I'll be doing this tonite.

The "new" UI just looks clunky and more dated then the old one.
