Ok, me again, another problem.

I can't seem to get the Prntscrn function to work to take a screenshot. I
thought maybe it was a problem with my keyboard so I tried another one and
it doesn't work either. It seems like a pretty simple straightforward way to
get a screenshot, so I don't understand what I could possibly be doing
wrong.

According to instructions you are supposed to hit the Printscreen button on
the keyboard and it's supposed to automatically take a screenshot and drop
the file into your main EQ directory. I understand that to be
ProgramFiles/Sony/EverquestII (right?) I'm looking, and there is nothing
there.

Anyplace else they might be?

I've tried searches, thinking maybe the program did something wierd with
them, but I'm finding no EQ*.jpg's anywhere.

Printscreen function???? The button has two things on it Printscreen/SysRq.
Printscreen is the top function, do I need to push something else to get the
top function? I've tried Alt, Ctrl and Shift, but none of those work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

OK, a little more to go on. I read that if you take a screen shot in
windowed mode that it will not create a file, but instead it will copy the
data to the clip board. So I opened Word and did a Paste command, and sure
enough, there was my shot. However, I then tried doing my screenshot in full
window mode, and still ended up with my screenshot on the clipboard instead
of in a file. Then I thought maybe I needed to starte the program in full
window mode, so I shut it down and rebooted EQ in full window mode, took
several screenshots, and it did the same thing. It's putting them on the
clipboard instead of creating a file.

Any ideas?

I had the same problem. I ended up solving it by going to Options and
explicitly assigning that function to another key (in my case
CTRL-PrintScreen) and it works the way you expect it. You will know it's
working because it puts a confirmation message in the chat box.

Thanks Barry, I'll try that. I wondered why I wasn't getting any kind of
message. It seemed strange to me that it would take a pic and not even tell
me.
