some areas are member only (cheap to sign up), but there's a lot of good info for free, plus links to other sites.

>Kill everybody I see? That isn't a player, and which won't kill you first. (You can't attack other players, so, don't worry about them too much.) As for whether or not something can kill you first....until you're tenth level, you lose nothing from dying, so, you have plenty of time to learn the ropes. *----------------------------------------------------* Evolution doesn't take prisoners:Lizard "I've heard of this thing men call 'empathy', but I've never once been afflicted with it, thanks the Gods." Take their stuff.
Make friends.
Go with them to kill things and take their stuff.
It is, frankly, a great deal more fun than that summary makes it sound -- my wife is now hooked, and I'm along for the ride.
If you mean "I don't know what to kill, or what to do with the stuff I take", try starting by talking to your guildmaster, who will undoubtedly have a desperate need for rockhopper spleens or rat kidneys or goblin toenails, and will give you more guidance when you provide him with these. The economy of Norrath, at least at low levels, is based almost entirely on body parts; you give body parts to NPCs, and they give you weapons, armor, and jewelery.
I also recommend www.allakhazam.com, which provides detailed instructions on just who wants which body parts, and what you will get for them. *----------------------------------------------------* Evolution doesn't take prisoners:Lizard "I've heard of this thing men call 'empathy', but I've never once been afflicted with it, thanks the Gods." Dind the newbie area near your home city and find a monster that cons white or blue (say if you dont know how to con things) Consult www.eqatlas.com if you cant find your way around (or bring up the online map) Left click on the monster to "target" it. Press "a" to auto attack, and if youre close enough your character will start trying to hit the monster. Once the mob is dead, you will get some experience, and you can loot the corpse by right clicking on it. Save up bone chips, spider(ling) silks for sale to other players in the bazaar.
Id recommend starting a druid wood elf or hafling for first character. They arnt the most wonderful class at high levels, but they are easy to play and easy to solo, so great for getting the hang of EQ.

everything changes, i cant be arsed writin out discriptions for the rest of classes, coz im lazy, but u get the general idea and so will most newbies.
col eq veteran

She is level 10. I rarely play her, and I really don't know why. But you are right, she is a great class, has some great buffs, and can tank some too. I don't solo her though, and I'm not entirely sure why not.
